I offer custom pyrography services, creating unique, handcrafted pieces that add warmth and charm to any space. Whether you're looking for a personalised pet portrait, a bespoke house sign, or custom gift, or the restoration of a treasured wooden item, my work is tailored to bring your vision to life.

By following these steps below, I do my utmost to ensure a smooth, satisfying experience for the client while delivering a beautiful, personalised pyrography piece.

1. Initial Inquiry and Consultation The process begins when a potential client reaches out with a request for a custom pyrography piece. This is a crucial stage for understanding their needs and vision. It involves:

  • Discussing the subject matter, style, and size.

  • Understanding the purpose (e.g., gift, decor, memorial piece).

  • Providing guidance on wood types, finishes, and design possibilities.

  • Discussing the timeline and budget.

2. Concept Development and Design Once the client's vision is clear, the artist moves into the design phase:

  • Sketching preliminary concepts.

  • Sharing drafts with the client for feedback.

  • Adjusting the design to incorporate their suggestions.

  • Finalising the layout and design.

3. Pricing, Deposit, and Agreement After finalising the design, it’s time to agree on the terms:

  • Providing a price quote based on complexity, size, and materials.

  • Requiring a deposit (often 30-50%) to secure the commission.

  • Setting clear terms, including deadlines, payment schedule, and potential revision limits.

4. Preparing the Materials Preparation is key to a successful pyrography project:

  • Selecting and preparing the wood surface (sanding, cleaning, and prepping).

  • Transferring the design to the wood.

5. Burning the Design This is the heart of the pyrography process:

  • Carefully burning the design into the wood, working with precision and control.

  • Communicating with the client during key milestones for feedback.

  • Adapting to requested changes where feasible

6. Finishing Touches Once the burning is complete:

  • Cleaning and sanding any rough edges.

  • Applying finish (e.g., varnish or oil) for protection and enhanced appearance.

  • Allowing the piece to cure properly.

7. Final Presentation and Delivery The final stage ensures the artwork reaches the client in perfect condition:

  • Sharing final photos for client approval.

  • Collecting the remaining payment.

  • Packaging securely for delivery or arranging handover.

Every project is approached with care and attention to detail, ensuring that the finished

product meets your expectations. If you have an idea in mind or a piece in need of restoration, feel free to get in touch, and let's create something beautiful together.
